In this musical talk featuring live piano accompaniment, Adele Dreyer will explore the question of why composers use the "black keys". Adele will discuss each of the twelve musical keys and their unique uses in composition, followed by a performance of a piece for piano in each key. Her performance will feature works by Chopin, Schubert, Bach, and other beloved composers.
