[ONLINE] Who Wrote Shakespeare?
Thursday, July 297:00—8:00 PMZoom
Doubts about the true authorship of Shakespeare’s works have persisted across the centuries, from skeptics including Mark Twain and Walt Whitman, to Antonin Scalia, Malcolm X, and David McCullough.
Among these skeptics was a Boston man who, in 1916, went to court to prove his point. Before you laugh, he won the case. Author, playwright, and local historian David Kruh will present the story of one man’s search for the “real” author of the works credited to Shakespeare and how –amazingly- that search played a role in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
The Zoom link for this program will open half an hour before the program's start time, so come in a little early, set up your devices, get comfortable, and turn your mic and video off until you are invited to turn them on again. This program will not be recorded.
