Field Biologist Richard Johnson will speak on the Island’s tick problem, tick-borne illnesses, and their prevention. Mr. Johnson, who for years has done field surveys on the Vineyard as part of the mission of his project, said recently that the “Lone Star” tick has really taken hold on the Island, and presents its own unique set of symptoms. Prevention is your best protection. He will answer any questions you might have on this crucial subject.
