[ONLINE] Movie in Focus: CANCELLED

Monday, November 2211:00 AM—12:00 PMZoom

Until the day comes when we can enjoy films together again on the library’s big screen, we’re hosting a monthly virtual film group. View our movie of the month (free on Kanopy or Hoopla) and we’ll meet to discuss it via Zoom. Bring your impressions and opinions. Virginia Munro will choose the films and facilitate the group.

The astonishing story of classical pianist David Helfgott comes to the screen with rousing direction by Scott Hicks and an extraordinary cast of actors. In addition, there is the music of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Mozart and Liszt, and bold photography from master cinematographer Geoffrey Simpson. The film is available to screen for free on Kanopy with your library card.

The Zoom link for this program will open half an hour before the program's start time, so come in a little early, set up your devices, get comfortable, and turn your mic and video off until you are invited to turn them on again. This program will not be recorded.

There are no longer enough available spaces for further registration for this event.
