[ONLINE] Movie in Focus: Film Discussion Group (Mustang)

Monday, January 2411:00 AM—12:00 PMZoom

Until the day comes when we can enjoy films together again on the library’s big screen, we’re hosting a monthly virtual film group. View our movie of the month (free on Kanopy or Hoopla) and we’ll meet to discuss it via Zoom. Bring your impressions and opinions. Programs coordinator Virginia Munro will choose the films and facilitate the group.

Mustang (Turkey, 2015), the sensational debut of director Deniz Gamze Ergven, confidently walks a tightrope between hope, despair, comedy, and tragedy. With a stunning cast of young actors, beautiful cinematography and music, and a strong screenplay, it’s an ageless, universal story of sisterhood. The film is available to stream for free on Kanopy with your library card.

The Zoom link for this program will open half an hour before the program's start time, so come in a little early, set up your devices, get comfortable, and turn your mic and video off until you are invited to turn them on again. This program will not be recorded.

Registration for this event has now closed.
