[ONLINE] Dementia Friends: An Informational Presentation with Mary Holmes

Saturday, October 232:00—3:00 PMZoom

Did you know that there are over 130,000 people living with dementia in Massachusetts? Many of them live lonely and isolated lives because of their condition. Dementia Friends is a social action movement developed by the Alzheimer’s Society in the United Kingdom, and Massachusetts is one of the first U.S. states to launch the Dementia Friends program. It aims to give people an understanding of dementia and the small things we can all do for people living with this condition in our communities. You can make a difference, as a private citizen and/or a business owner. Trained Dementia Friends Champion Mary Holmes, Supervisor of the Supportive Day Program in Vineyard Haven, will deliver a one-hour informational session.

The Zoom link for this program will open half an hour before the program's start time, so come in a little early, set up your devices, get comfortable, and turn your mic and video off until you are invited to turn them on again. This program will not be recorded.

Registration for this event has now closed.
