One Piano, Four Hands: Concert with Molly Sturges & Lisa Weiss

In this debut duet, pianists Molly Sturges and Lisa Weiss will perform side-by-side on the Mason & Hamlin piano in the library’s program room. Their concert will feature works by Mozart, Faure, Dello Joio, and Schubert, written especially for four-hand piano performances. Light refreshments will be served.
Molly Sturges is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of Notre Dame. For almost 20 years she performed regularly as keyboardist for the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut. Molly has been a resident on the Vineyard since 2015 and is active as a freelance musician and accompanist for many island organizations, including the First Congregational Church of West Tisbury, the Island Community Chorus, Island Theatre Workshop, and the Wicked Good Musical Revue at the MV Playhouse.
Lisa Weiss began playing at age three and made her concert debut with the Boston Pops at seven, performing Haydn’s Concerto in D. A versatile soloist, chamber musician, and vocal accompanist, she has performed in all three capacities on the Vineyard. Lisa holds degrees from Harvard University, the Yale School of Music, and the Peabody Conservatory. She is a Professor of Music Emerita at Goucher College in Baltimore.
