[Off-site] Can You Dig It: Quahog Harvesting with the Edgartown Shellfish Department
Friday, September 69:30—10:30 AMOff Site
Do you want to learn how and where to harvest local shellfish but don't know where to start? Join us at the Katama Landing where you will get a chance to learn techniques for harvesting shellfish from the constables of the Edgartown Shellfish Department.
You do not need a shellfish license to attend and observe, but a shellfish license is required for hands-on experience with harvesting and taking home quahogs. Licenses can be purchased online, click here for full details.
Please note: consuming raw or undercooked seafood or shellfish may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions.
Registration is required.
This program is presented by the Edgartown Shellfish Department in collaboration with the Edgartown Free Public Library.
Registration for this event has now closed.
