17th century Holland witnessed extraordinary innovation in science, commerce, and artistic expression, and Johannes Vermeer remains one of the most significant painters of this Dutch Golden Age. Art Historian Janet Mandel’s illustrated talk will explore the life of Vermeer through an examination of some of his most important and iconic works.
