In 1948, Charlie returns to Armenia after escaping to the US as a young boy during the Armenian genocide. He finds his home country overtaken by the Soviets and is unjustly arrested. From his prison cell, he secretly watches an Armenian prison guard’s family, and finally learns about the true spirit of his homeland and its people.

This program is generously funded by the Friends of the Edgartown Free Public Library.
