Have you ever wanted to learn how to gut and fillet a fish or shuck an oyster? Sign up for this monthly workshop where you will learn about all aspects of Island seafood, from preparation to the ecological importance of buying local. You'll leave with not only a filet for dinner, but also the knowledge of how to process your next catch. This month we will be exploring one of Martha’s Vineyard's most abundant sea creatures: whelk. We'll be joined by Shelley Edmundson, Executive Director of MV Fishermen's Preservation Trust, who will be taking us on a deep dive into the interesting world of whelk.

Registration is required.

This program has been generously funded by the Friends of the Edgartown Free Public Library.
