As many Islanders know, Lyme disease is caused by tick bites and can cause serious long-term symptoms if left untreated. Right now there are no approved vaccines for Lyme disease. An ongoing research study is testing an investigational vaccine to see if it can help prevent Lyme disease in people age 5 and older. If you would like more information about the vaccine or about Lyme disease, please stop by during this informational session. Representatives from Care Access who are conducting the study will be here to answer all your questions.
