[IN PERSON] Lucky Red Envelope Letters for Lunar New Year

Saturday, January 2811:00 AM—12:00 PMEdgartown Free Public LibraryEdgartown Free Public Library26 West Tisbury Road, Edgartown, MA, 02539

Ring in the Year of the Rabbit (which symbolizes longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture) by sending kind sentiments in red envelopes to the people you care about.

Traditionally, these ornate envelopes are filled with crisp bills, but in these trying economic times, we will be filling them with something just as precious: personalized notes offering kind words, luck, and prosperity. Join Nis Kildegaard for a lesson in letter writing with antique typewriters. We will provide stationery, stamps, and of course, the customary red envelopes to send positive thoughts to the important people in your life. All supplies and typewriters will be available to use until Thursday, February 2nd in our Program Room.

No registration required.
