Film Night - Women's History Month: "Hidden Figures" (2016)

Thursday, March 286:00—8:00 PMEdgartown Free Public LibraryEdgartown Free Public Library26 West Tisbury Road, Edgartown, MA, 02539

March is Women’s History Month, and to celebrate, we’ll be showing four films that highlight the experiences of women throughout history. Dessert and light refreshments will be served.

This biographical drama tells the incredible true story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson: three African-American, female mathematicians whose work advanced NASA’s mission to send astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The women’s tireless fight to achieve recognition and inclusion during the era of Civil Rights is heartwarming and inspiring.
