Chef Look is back, and in person! Come hungry for the kick-off of our new in-person Chef Look Cooks series that's all about batters. A classic Osaka street food, takoyaki is traditionally served with a tiny piece of braised octopus at its center (taking its name from the Japanese word for octopus, tako). Surrounded by a smattering of seasonings and toppings, takoyaki are best enjoyed hot, fresh, and covered in a sweet and tangy sauce. This month, Chef Look will talk a bit about the history of takoyaki and the signature pans used to cook them. During this demonstration at the library, you’ll even get to choose what flavorful fillings will go into your serving of takoyaki.
